From this Saturday (April 8th) until the middle of June, two young talents of Contemporary Painting, Berto Martínez Tello and Narcís Díaz, will show their work in the CCA Andratx. The exhibition entitled “Aporia” displays a selection of collaborative works by the two artists, which has been specially created for this project.
“Aporia” unfolds a certainly provocative panorama, however contradictory at the same time. The approximately ten works comprising the show, open a window to uncertain landscapes, questioning the current social Spanish situation. Technically, the works present an intense surrealist aesthetic and portray figures that are unfinished forms, almost an allegory of humanity, where anyone can feel identified.
This is the first exhibition showing collaborative works by the two artists and is also their first exhibition in Mallorca. Both artists, based in Barcelona, completed their Fine Arts studies at the University of Barcelona (2009) and their work has been presented in a large number of individual exhibitions and group projects.
The CCA Andratx was founded in 2001 by Jacob and Patricia Asbaek. The 4.000 m2 building has a minimal but traditional style that is perfectly integrated in the breathtaking natural scenery of its surroundings. CCA is one of the largest centres of Contemporary Art in the Balearic Islands as well as in the rest of Europe.
Located on the southside of the Tramuntana Mountains, only 30 minutes away from Palma, the CCA Andratx is dedicated to the creation and exhibition of Contemporary Art. It offers a unique cultural experience, and the Studio Program is open to national and international artists.
Visitors, collectors and artists are invited to spend a day exploring art and nature whilst enjoying the many facilities of the CCA Andratx.
