Jet2holidays and Sol Katmandu Park & Resort join forces to create the “Ultimate School Trip”, a new campaign that promotes Mallorca as a safe and fun tourist destination. The two entities have created a competition for British schoolchildren between 9 and 13 years of age, and the first prize is a weekend-long school trip to Sol Katmandu Park & Resort.
A weekend at the Sol Katmandu Park & Resort is the first prize for the winners of the competition in which a weekend-long school trip will be awarded to nine groups of British school children. The students taking part in the competition have to design a free-format promotional piece for the hotel. The designs of the finalists will go to a public vote.
The school trip will be an incentive for British schoolchildren, adding its fun character into the learning process of their school curriculum. During the trip at the Sol Katmandu Park & Resort, which will take place from the 20 to 22 April 2018, the children will have the chance to enjoy the park’s numerous attractions, and also to participate in workshops and activities related to subjects they are studying at school.
The campaign started on the 15th November. The mascots at Sol Katmandu Park & Resort accompanied the Jet2Holidays team during the promotional visits to schools in the UK, to help promote the campaign as well as the destination.
Jet2Holidays is one of Meliá Hotels International’s main partners, especially in the Mediterranean area, having registered strong growth in the recent years.
Sol Katmandú Park & Resort is the first resort to combine a hotel and a theme park in Mallorca. With its offer of tailor-made experiences, the resort has been awarded several prizes, including the Best Innovation in Service at the European Hospitality Awards 2016. Sol Katmandu Park & Resort was also voted as the best hotel to travel to with children in the Trivago Ranking in 2016 and the second best theme park in Spain at the Condé Nast Traveller Choice Awards.
