The International Tourism Fair Fitur will hand over the prizes to the best stands and the best tourism products of this year’s edition, as well as to the best academic research work related to the sector.
The 37th edition of the Fair closed its doors with the record number of 245,000 visitors , 6% more than last year. The number of international exhibitors grew 9%, highlighting the destinations of America, with an increase of 17%; Followed by Asia-Pacific with 12%, and Europe with 9%.
Iberia, Meliá Hotels International and Trasmediterránea are the companies awarded for the best stands in the category “Business” in this edition. In terms of institutions and autonomous communities, the prizes go to Castilla La Mancha, the Balearic Islands and Andalusia, while the awards for the best stands by countries go to Egypt (Tourism Office), the Korea Tourism Organization and Procolombia.
Image and Design
The competition evaluates the stands according to the criteria of professionalism (suitability of the stand to the marketing needs of each product); communication and promotion (identification of the stand with the image and the product) and design (evaluation of the degree of originality and innovation).
With these awards, the fair wants to honor the efforts of companies, professionals and researchers to enhance the image of the sector, create new products and research to boost the evolution of tourism.
